1989-90 I had made several attempts of making an expedition to Nepal, but every time I had to note that the necessary number of serious participants could not be found. And after three attempts in vain I could conclude that there would be no expedition. But I had decided to go to Nepal, no matter what, and Fall 1990 I went to Nepal by myself to make an ascent of Mera Peak and make a reconnaissance on Numbur, another mountain I had been watching behind Junbesi. |
