| In JUly 1985 Christoph and I had decided upon climbing Nordend, the second highest and probably the most interesting summit in the Monte Rosa massif, and after an initial training on Unter Gabelhorn we were now ready to go for Nordend. And like so many other mountain climbers before us, we too started our trip up the main street in Zermatt, for interesting contemplation to the many tourists. |
