| September 1984 I for the first time tried to make the complete traverse of the Geigenkamm ridge in the Ötztaler Alps, but had to turn back at Mutzeiger, the first summit on the ridge, because of unexpected much fresh snow. I still had about a week's time left, though, and after having returned to Roppen in the Inn valley I still had five days left. I just had to find some other mountains to climb. |
