| In the summer of 2009 Copenhagen was the host of World Outgames, a major sports event for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender persons, with the participation of 5,500 sports people from almost a hundred nations all over the world. Outgames clearly left its stamp on Copenhagen for all the eight days the event was taking place, and even the church, which in other countries persecute gay people, here bid all our guests welcome. |
