In 2006 I had traveled to Colorado with my running mate Martin Rørdam, where we both were to run Pikes Peak Marathon. We had both achieved a bib number, so now we had to focus on the challenges. One of the challenges with this race was being able to run in the high altitude, so to prepare for that we had rented a holiday apartment in Breckenridge for a week. Breckenridge is situated in an elevation of close to 3000 metres, so while Martin was doing his training runs down in the valley I spent the time climbing the nearby mountains. |
