On our trip around Yellowstone National Park and Wyoming we had by now left the big mountains and had arrived in some smaller and, to me as a mountaineer, unknown states. The next state in line was South Dakota, and I soon found out that this state also was called The Mount Rushmore State, and since Mount Rushmore more was a symbol of the United States of America than a symbol of South Dakota as such it was obvious, that we also should have a closer look on this mountain. And when we were going to have a visit to such symbol of USA I figured that I also should dress accordingly. |
