I had visited Iran already back in 2003, but had got such a positive impression of the country that there was much more to get to know about - and the few things I had seen in 2003 could certainly also stand a second visit. In 2003 the primary aim had been to try making an ascent of Sabalan Kouh, but when I returned in 2004 it was with slightly other plans. But one thing was certain, that I wanted to see Esfahan again. And one of the things I could remember from my previous visit to Esfahan in 2003 was the Koran school Madraseh-ye Chahar Bagh, so it was obvious that I wanted to see it again - even though it now was under renovation. |
