On our trip around Yellowstone National Park and Wyoming we had by now got far out on the country. We had now reached Nebraska, and what was there actually to have a closer look on at this place? The only thing I knew about Nebraska was, that it was an almost flat state, which very slowly lowered itself to the east, where the state at Iowa border reached the Missouri River. Nebraska was Prairie Land, and there was not anything suggesting that there should be anything of interest here. But I thought, that even a flat state should have a highpoint, and naturally also Nebraska would have one such, and this should be close to the Colorado and Wyoming borders. |
