| During the first decade of this century I usually was a regular participant at the annual UIAA assemblies, representing Denmark, and in 2007 the assembly was taking place in Matsumoto in Japan, and this meant that I this way had my first visit ever to this interesting country with its large culture. Japan was far away, and as my luggage by mistake had been taken off the flight when I should change planes in Frankfurt, this meant that I landed an early morning in Tokyo without my rucksack. So carrying nothing but my daypack I entered this foreign city, where I didn't have the slightest idea about the language. |
