| In the first half of October 2006 I had, according to tradition, travelled overseas as the Danish representative to take part in the annual General Assembly of the UIAA, which this year was held in Banff in Canada. As a part of this assembly there was organised an excursion on Icefields Parkway to Athabasca Glacier at Columbia Icefield with the purpose of having a closer look on the decline of the glaciers in these northern areas. |
