| With the positive impression I've had from my travel to Iran in 2003 it shouldn't take long before I travelled there again. Already the following year I returned to Tehran with Erik, and this time we also had taken Christian with us. Just like the year before it was the plan to try ascending Damavand, but because of a late winter that plan was soon changed in favour of an attempt of Sabalan instead. From Sara'eyn we took a taxi up to a ski area which was closed for the season, and from here we ascended to a ridge, where we could bivouac for a couple of nights. |
